
Some legacies are inherited through names or professions. Others are passed quietly — through everyday rituals.
Brinita began in my parents’ kitchen.
Long before wellness became an industry, healing at home followed a different rhythm. There were no labels, no trends, and no urgency to “fix” things quickly. There were ancestral rituals — instinctive, trusted, and deeply personal.
For almost every illness or discomfort, there was a kadha. Herbs were simmered slowly, often without written recipes. What mattered wasn’t precision, but presence — knowing what to brew, when to brew it, and for whom.
Looking back, our kitchen shelves held more herbs than junk food. At the time, it felt normal.
Today, I understand it was legacy in practice.
